Wings over Winston 2023

Join us for an exhilarating weekend on October 14, 2023 for another spectaculor Wings Over Winston Airshow.

Once again, we have some of the top performers in the airshow world coming to Louisville, Mississippi.  Here's the current agenda for the Saturday show:

The show begins with a patriotic theme after a welcome by Mayor Will Hill and an opening prayer by local pastor.

-The National Anthem is sung as skyjumpers depart from 6,500 feet up in the sky.  Greg Bryant of Laurel, MS, and 2 fellow jumpers will bring the flag down as they are circled by an authentic WWII T6 trainer piloted by Jimmy Fordham of the AeroShell team.
-Jimmy then does a T6 solo aerobatic act
-Our good friend, Greg Koontz from Alabama will thrill us with his Super DeCathlon act
-For the FIRST TIME ever in Louisville, we have a Wingwalker!  Carol Pilon from Quebec Canada will amaze you with her routine done without parachute on and atop the wings of her beautiful red biplane.
-Frank Kimmel from Greenwood is back with that wonderful WWII era Corsair in a solo act.
-Eric Hollingsworth from Jackson, MS will turn things upside down in his clipped wing Taylorcraft.
-Carey Harding from Starkville will be back with a formation flight of at least 4 of those beautiful biwing Stearman trainers. You'll love the roar of those rotary engines overhead!
-Another first time event is Bob Carlton piloting his one of a kind jet sailplane.  Bob hails from New Mexico and this is his first airshow in Mississippi.
- TheAlabama Boys, Clem Cleaver and Grandpa Fred, return with another chapter of hilarious fun and daredevil flying (and landing!).
-Stephen Covington from Texas performs for us in Raptor, that beautiful specially modified Pitts S2S biplane.  His act features lots of smoke and jaw-dropping aerobatics.
-Our finale will be theAeroShell Team doing a combo of formation flight and aerobatics.  Smoke, Lights, Excitement with four WWII era T6 trainers; these guys are the very best at what they do.
